![]() to use next year! It is a true blessing and winner!Ībout halfway through cutting these up, and so far they are perfect! I have 6 kids 6 and under, so my productivity is primarily limited to after bedtime I wanted to make a list like this but realized it wasn’t going to get done on time that way. ![]() Kids then took the printout for Christmas day, signed their name on the back, put it in an envelope addressed to Jesus with whatever message for Him they wanted to add (heart, I love you, etc.) and took it home to put on their Christmas Tree! Each day they will take off a chain, and read the verse with their family! Can I just tell you how many parents, upon seeing the chain and envelope, thanked my husband & I as teachers for this project, as they wanted to do something for Advent and didn’t have time to get it ready! Some of the younger kids complained after about 12 or so chains, thinking it was too hard, but we discussed how hard it was for Jesus to leave Heaven and come down to die for us! I would seriously recommend this to any family or SS class, Youth Group, etc. Just want to let you know what a blessing your posting is! I teach a dozen + 2nd & 3rd grade Sunday School class and today we took your 25 advent countdown to Christmas cards and made a red & green paper chair with them! Started with a red strip & day #1 – pasted it to chain & made a circle, took a green strip, pasted #2 onto it and added it to chain #1! And so on until we had a 24 chain completed project. ![]() *Click HERE to see 12 more amazing, Christ-centered Christmas ideas for your family! I am all for educating our kids and having rich conversations with them about the Christmas story, but a 2-year-old is usually not ready to sit and listen to a sermon about the history of Caesar Augustus, the Roman Empire, and the great census. Plus, I did my very best to keep the verses short and without some of the more challenging vocabulary for little ears – like taxes and virgin. This brand new version was created using the International Children’s Bible and the Easy Reader’s Version of the Bible. I love those cards, but I wanted to make a set that was a bit more kid-friendly (the earlier printable was written using the King James Version of the Bible). ![]() One my most popular Christmas posts is the set of 24 cards I created several years ago that tell a little piece of the Christmas story each day (you can see them HERE). ![]()
